This workshop focuses on later-stage evaluation, equipping you with advanced tools to measure program results and understand their impact. By the end of this session, you’ll have the confidence to design outcome assessments that provide credible, actionable insights about program performance.

This workshop covers the essentials for designing an impact evaluation, from crafting a design, formulating your evaluation questions, identifying your measures, and determining the best approach to sampling. You’ll explore critical concepts such as internal and external validity, learn about guarding against threats to validity, and how to assure the measures you use are reliable and valid. As you learn, you’ll have concentrated opportunities to apply your leaning to a real-world example.

• Designing an Impact Evaluation – Learn how to formulate strong evaluation questions, choose appropriate measures, and determine the best sampling approach

• Impact Assessment Methods – Explore RCTs, quasi-experimental designs, and matching techniques to isolate program effects
